Rules and Guidelines

Important rules and regulations for all students at Onepath Academy

Student Conduct Guidelines

These rules and guidelines are designed to maintain discipline, ensure safety, and create an optimal learning environment for all students at Onepath Academy.

SECTION 1: Nature of Admission
  • Admission to the hostel is conditional and subject to continuous review of academic performance, conduct, and compliance with regulations.
  • Continued stay in the hostel is a privilege and not a matter of right.
  • The hostel administration reserves the right to amend, modify, add, or remove rules in the interest of discipline, safety, and academic standards.
SECTION 2: Zero Tolerance Offences
  • Ragging in any form (physical, verbal, psychological, direct or indirect).
  • Possession, consumption, or influence of alcohol, tobacco, narcotics, or any intoxicating substance.
  • Physical assault, fighting, bullying, intimidation, harassment, or threatening behaviour.
  • Tampering with fire safety equipment, electrical systems, or endangering life/property.
  • Facilitating entry of unauthorized persons into hostel premises.
SECTION 3: Academic Discipline
  • Mandatory study hours must be attended unless prior written permission is granted.
  • Silence and discipline must be maintained during designated study and rest hours.
  • Monthly academic and conduct evaluations shall be communicated to parents/guardians.
  • Two consecutive unsatisfactory academic reviews may result in mandatory parent counseling.
  • Promotion to the next academic level is subject to achieving minimum qualifying criteria.
SECTION 4: General Conduct & Discipline
  • Students shall obey all hostel rules, circulars, and instructions issued from time to time.
  • Rooms and common areas must be kept clean and orderly at all times.
  • The hostel authorities reserve the right to inspect rooms and belongings with or without prior notice.
  • Any discrimination or harassment based on caste, religion, or social background is serious misconduct.
  • Damage to property, whether intentional or negligent, shall be fully compensated by the student.
SECTION 5: Movement Control & Leave Policy
  • Entry and exit between 9:30 PM and 5:00 AM are prohibited without prior written approval.
  • Leave shall be granted only upon written application stating valid reasons.
  • Students must return on the notified date after approved leave.
  • Delay without approval attracts a fine of ₹300 per day.
  • Parents/guardians visiting students must obtain prior approval from the Warden.
SECTION 6: Mobile Phone & Electronic Device Policy
  • Personal mobile phones must be deposited with hostel authorities upon admission.
  • Scheduled weekly communication hours shall be provided under supervision.
  • Unauthorized possession or use of a mobile phone within hostel premises is prohibited.
  • Use of electronic devices for gaming, social media, or non-academic purposes is prohibited.
  • Confiscated devices will be reported to parents; second violation may result in suspension.
SECTION 7: Financial Regulations
  • All monthly dues must be paid on or before the 3rd of each month.
  • Admission fees are non-refundable once admission is confirmed.
  • A Readmission Fee is payable at the beginning of each academic session.
  • Hostel fees remain payable for the entire session; no reduction for absence or suspension.
  • Statutory examination charges (Board Exams) shall be borne by the student/guardian.
SECTION 8: Safety, Health & Administrative Rights
  • Hostel authorities may arrange medical treatment in emergencies; expenses borne by parents.
  • CCTV surveillance operates in common areas for safety and monitoring purposes.
  • Disciplinary measures may be taken in the interest of safety, discipline, and academic standards.
  • Jurisdiction for any disputes lies within the courts of North 24 Parganas, West Bengal.
Important Notice

The academy authorities reserve the right to modify these rules and regulations as deemed necessary for maintaining discipline and academic excellence.
